The Thistle Dew Dessert Theatre, founded by playwright Thomas M. Kelly, is  located in the lower level of a unique1894 Victorian home at 1901 P Street, Sacramento, California.   Eleanor L. Lediard, Mr. Kelly’s wife, a family law attorney, has her Law Offices on the upper level.

The Thistle Dew Dessert Theatre is the center for original theatre in Sacramento and the home of the Thistle Dew Playwrights Workshop.

It is Sacramento's unique intimate theatre experience.  The 39-seat theatre presents original dramas, comedies and musicals by local playwrights.  It is the only theatre in Sacramento (perhaps the world) where dessert is included in the ticket price.  It is the only theatre in Sacramento where, when you attend a play, you are sure to meet the playwright and some of the members of the Thistle Dew Playwright's Workshop.
